We are here to serve you and your students! Ask us to:
- collaborate with you in planning a lesson, a unit, or a library program.
- help you locate and access library resources including print and non-print materials both classic and cutting edge.
- co-teach a co-planned unit with you. We would love to schedule your class inside one of our library spaces, or to visit your classroom with advanced planning.
- acquire library materials which will help you teach the curriculum you've planned.
- assist your students in finding library materials for recreational reading.
- assist your students in locating library materials relating to an assignment.
- connect you or your students with our partners in New York's three public library systems.
- plan programs that support curricular themes.
- interpret and apply the Standards for 21st Century Learners in the curriculum design process.
- interweave appropriate technology into lesson plans.
- provide one-on-one tutorials in information literacy including computer applications like Googledocs, Wikispaces, Dropbox, etc. which can help you plan for success in teaching and collaboration with other colleagues.
